OK here's a question for everyone.

I am listening to "Spiritualized" which is a band I enjoy a lot. It's soft and droney. But I was looking through our site list and realized we don't have any sort of a "general" category. This is too new for classic rock. It's from 1992 so it's not emerging. It's not "pop" which I think of as Britney Spears type of stuff.

What category does "general" music go into? How would one even name that category?

Well caegories are fine o point at music in a general way otherwise it ges you lost very quickly and it even create wars between genre people.but the band you refering to its genre is called "drone/post rock".those things are very subjective nevertheless you found the type without knowing.

Today's music can be divided into any number of categories and subcategories, encompassing genres such as pop, jazz, rock, alternative, country, electronic, rap, and much more.
