BellaOnline Forums TV and Movies Drama Movies Denmark's Oscar Entry "The Promised Land"

Denmark has selected the historical drama "The Promised Land", starring Mads Mikkelsen, as its official Oscar entry for Best International Feature. The film has been making the rounds on the festival circuit. It will be released in US theaters on February 2nd, 2024. The trailer is online with English subtitles.

Update: "The Promised Land" is currently streaming on Prime Video. The Blu-Ray and DVD release is set for April 30th, 2024.

No films from Scandinavia made the shortlist for the Oscars. The winner was the UK Holocaust drama "The Zone of Interest". It is also currently streaming on Amazon's Prime Video.
